What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on treatment that works with the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
It uses very light touch to release restrictions in this system.
The result is a calmer, more regulated nervous system and a body better able to repair itself.
It is one of the gentlest physical therapies available.
It is also one of the most effective for stress held deep in the body.
How it works
The therapist applies touch at the skull, spine, and other points along the body, no heavier than the weight of a coin. This is enough to:
Release tension held in the skull and spinal column
Calm an over-activated nervous system
Support the flow of cerebrospinal fluid
Shift long-held stress patterns the body has been unable to release
What it can help with
Migraines and chronic headaches
TMJ disorders
Chronic fatigue
Stress and anxiety
Trauma recovery
Insomnia
Nervous system dysregulation
What to expect in a session
You remain fully clothed throughout. You lie on a treatment table while the therapist applies light, still touch at specific points.
Most people notice warmth, a sense of release, or a calm that feels different from ordinary relaxation. Some enter a meditative state.
